HISTORY OF ULU LEGONG HOT SPRING

Ulu Legong Hot Springs is one of the oldest hot springs in the province of Kedah . According to the story of the people around Ulu Legong , in days of yore the Sultan of Kedah , Sultan Abdul Hamid , frequent bathing in this place . Around the 70’s, the area used by the Malaysian Armed Forces ( ATM ) as the base of operations for hunting communists .

Therefore, the people who truly love the Sultan Abdul Hamid eventually develop Ulu Legong hot baths as a form of tribute . While in the process of building a mini pond , people have been using the help of elephants to help them built this memorial pond. 

THE ULU LEGONG HOT SPRINGS

Pay a visit to the hot springs is not never boring. In parts of the world where it is, a hot spring is almost always a favorite location the environmentalists.

Heated pool believed to be able to cure rheumatism and various skin diseases . Toddlers can play water through out the days and you take advantage of the warm water for health benefits to release stress and cure nerve problems.

HOW TO GO TO ULU LEGONG HOT SPRINGS 

The first route through the town of Kulim which is about 1 hour 20 minutes by car using Kulim Expressway - Butterworth. The journey from Bukit Mertajam is approximately 70km which took around 1 hour 15 mins

The first route through the town of Baling. The provincial town of Baling , around about 30 minutes journey to Ulu Legong Hot Springs .


The second is about less than 1 hour and 30 minutes from Kuala Lumpur heading towards throw around about 1 hour 30 minutes.


The last route ,drive around less than 2 hour journey with the Baling depart from the territory of Alor Star.
